Posted by: g7nbp on 02/03/2010 03:34 PM
A brief reminder and invite - on the 26th February 2010 will be a "get together" where we hope to see some some of the amateurs we dont see quite so often.

(Venue: Shrewsbury Freemasons Hall, Crew Street Shrewsbury.)

The evening will consist of an informal gathering to chat and meet Old Friends, around about 2000 Hrs. Food will be laid on, and there is a Bar. We would ask you to subscribe £3.00 per head to cover the food. The Night is also open to the YL / XYL.

The Salop Club will be funding the rest of the evening, if you can make the event please RSVP to

Reminder!!!

Posted by: g7nbp on 12/11/2009 02:16 PM

*** Reminder: Memberships are due! ***

For locals who are not current members, firstly an invitation to (re)join, and also to remind all locals who are users of GB3LH our local repeater, that due to recent emergency repairs and the threat of ongoing billing for electricity on site (yes they have fitted all equipment on the site with a meter!) that donations will be VERY welcome.

We do have a completely separate Repeater Fund that is in place to look after Repeater and Beacon Running Costs, LH; CW; PW and GB3CLE. Group members give up a lot of time energy and in some cases money to keep our local comms working for you all. Please keep this in mind and consider a donation to the fund.

Welcome

Welcome to the SARS website

Salop Amateur Radio Society is a group for Radio and Electronics enthusiasts in and around the county of Shropshire (Salopia). Though while essentially a local group, we have members throughout the UK and world wide who have links with amateur radio and Shropshire.

We are a friendly and active group meeting weekly on a Thursday evening in Shrewsbury for the many events, courses and projects that the club provides. (see the events calendar and courses info for details!)

We look forward to seeing you.
